Do you like history and being outdoors? Would you like to study with similar-aged people? Then come and do our English plus Gardens and Castles programme where you visit some of Devon’s fascinating castles and beautiful gardens with a teacher-guide.

We aim to make your language learning holiday as easy and as interesting as possible, so all you need to do is to book your flight and we’ll do the rest!

The course fees include:

• 20 lessons (15 clock hours) English tuition in the mornings in a closed group of 50+ students*
• Minimum group size 6 students**
• Two afternoon excursions to the Gardens and Castles of Devon with a teacher-guide
• Full social programme including walks and entrances to local attractions, interesting workshops, school party, full day Saturday trip to Dartmoor and full day Sunday trip to Tintagel and Boscastle in Cornwall. Legend has it that Tintagel with its dramatic castle teetering on the edge of the Atlantic cliffs is the birthplace of King Arthur and the walk from Tintagel to Boscastle along the cliffs is one of the most spectacular walks in the area.

*We aim to offer the English tuition as a closed group for 50 years and over. However, if your level of English is much higher or lower than the group, then we will put you in our Standard English groups at the right level in the mornings. Afternoon excursions are for 50+ only, subject to a minimum of 6 participants.
**If fewer than 6 enrol, then we will offer you our Standard English Plus equivalent.

Details of the English + Gardens and Castles of Devon Course:

• Levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2
• Timetable:
  • Lessons in school: Monday to Friday, 09.00 h - 12.30 h
  • Full afternoon and evening activity programme
• Nº of daily classes: 4 lessons of 45 mins each day / 20 lessons per week
• Nº of Students per class: Maximum 12 students
• Minimum age: 50 years
• Book fee: 27 €

The price of the English course includes:
Level placement test, English lessons, all course materials (incl coursebook & photocopies), information about Totnes, full social & cultural programme, end of course certificate, use of internet, WIFI and e-learning facilities.

The price of the English course does not include:
Book (27 €), e-learning (45 €), airport transfer, travel and medical insurance

Accommodation Options:
